Participants will learn about:


    ● Understanding the Church's teaching on various forms of infertility treatments.

 

    ●  Examine the deeper theological principles of that teaching as seen through John Paul II's Theology of the Body .
 

 

  
   ●  Provide an overview of common conditions causing infertility and present treatment options and success rates.

 


   ● Explore the consequences of treatments such as InVitro Fertilization:

Father Christopher M. Saliga, O.P. R.N. :

     Father is a hospital chaplain and health care ethicist with the Dominican Health Care Ministry of New York, Saint Catherine of Siena Church and Priory. Before becoming a priest, Father Saliga received his B.S.N. from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He is an author and sought after speaker on health care ethics. He has served time in the US Army as a Combat Medic and Paratrooper, and was a commissioned officer in the US Navy Nurse Corps. He currently serves patients in collaboration with the pastoral care department of 3 New York City Hospitals, including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

 

Daniel Greene M.D. F.A.C.O.G. :

Dr. Greene is a Board Certified OB/GYN at Crittendon Hospital, Rochester MI. He is a partner in Contemporary OB/GYN. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Michigan State University. He practices General Obstetrics and Gynecology and teaches Fertility Awareness Methods. He regards the normal female cycle as a natural state of good health.
